FED:Latham confronts Gillard

Former Labor leader-turned-journalist MARK LATHAM confronted Prime Minister JULIA GILLARD
on the campaign trail at Brisbane's Ekka show yesterday.

Mr LATHAM is producing a segment for the Nine Network's 60 Minutes program .. and asked
the PM why Labor has complained to the network about his presence.

But a smiling Ms GILLARD said she wasn't aware of the matter and wished him well with
his journalistic endeavours.

Later Nine apologised for Mr LATHAM's treatment of Ms GILLARD with CEO DAVID GYNGELL
saying the conduct of the interview was inappropriate.
